Open Letter of Polish American Bishops to Polonia • English \| Polish Mission Statement of the Polish Apostolate The Polish Apostolate Committee, affiliated with the Bishops Committee on Migration of the United States Catholic Conference of Bishops (PCMR) is dedicated to serve the Catholics of Polish origin. For our spiritual development, we desire to adhere to our Polish religious heritage where faith is intertwined with the history and culture of our ancestry. Conscious of our spirituality centered around Jesus Christ as our Lord and Savior as evidenced through reverence of the Blessed Sacrament and devotion to the Blessed Virgin Mary, Mother of the Church, we strive to grow as a community of believers in unity and harmonious cooperation with local ordinaries. We firmly believe that our religious practices expressed in the devotional life which we desire to share with people of other cultural origins will strengthen the local community of faith and enrich the universal Church. Misja Apostolatu Komitet Polskiego Apostolatu, utworzony przy Komisji d/s Duszpasterstwa Emigracji Konferencji Episkopatu USA ma za zadanie sluzyc katolikom polskiego pochodzenia w poglebianiu duchowosci. W podtrzymywaniu tych wartosci odwolujemy sie do polskiego dziedzictwa religijnego, w ktorym wiara przeplata sie z historia i kultura naszych przodkow. Centrum naszego zycia duchowego jest Jezus Chrystus jako nasz Pan i Zbawca, czemu dajemy wyraz w najwyzszym szacunku dla Najswietszego Sakramentu. Wpatrzeni w Maryje, Matke Kosciola, pragniemy wzrastac jako wspolnota wierzacych w jednosci i wspolpracy z lokalnymi biskupami. Mocno wierzymy, ze nasze praktyki religijne wyrazone w zyciu i dzielone z ludzmi innych kultur, umocnia lokalne wspolnoty wiary i ubogaca Kosciol Powszechny.
